I agree with the author. Instead of letting horde and horde of people with no skill, no money, and not able to speak English get in the US ILLEGALLY, why not let people with the ability to hire LEGAL Americans and improve our economy?

I also believe in pick and choose the best of the best from other countries to become LEGAL US immigrants. Australia, Canada, New Zealand are doing it - just to name a few (you have to score enough points via English skills, skill set, and so on to get in their countries), why not the US?

More legal options is not a bad idea, but you really should think of the mexican situation first.

More legal mexicans integrated into society means less crime and less of the border problems.

Of course this is so obvious it could have been something that reagan came up with when he was out of his mind...

Why are we even talking about this? This plan is already in existence but only a few thousand people a year ever take the US up on the offer. I guess most people with a lot of money are globetrotters that don't need to be domiciled in the US to bank big.
