PSP update

Ok. Here's the deal. I bough my PSP when they first came out. As a result I have a PSP with the hardware update of 1.50. However just today I bought Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories (I love the GTA series) and I must upgrade my PSP to 2.0. Besides not being able to play the game, is there any reason why I shouldn't upgrade my PSP? (BTW I do not play online so "security features" won't be a problem. Why I don't play online is there is no one around me who has one and I haven't found an online game that I've liked.)

Thanks

Well with 2.0 you can still downgrade. ABOVE THAT YOU CANT!!!!!!

go to pspupdates.com and search in the files section for 2.0 update.

This will give you the leway in case you want to downgrade back to 1.5 which is the firmware with the leak in it that allows you to use emulators and home brew such as SNES, NEOGEO,GENESIS etc and play roms.

And rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. If your a pirate. the 1.5 has fastloader to play your umd rom dumps from the memcard.

So I can actually downgrade my PSP from 2.0 (GTA levels) and still play emus? Interesting...hmm That is something to think about

Well you wont be able to play GTA on 1.5 but. They are working on a work around for that.

As i said go to pspupdates and look for the 2.0 eboot. It will upgrade you to 2.0

update file

There u go

No when you update. First format your mem card unless it already has appropriate folders on it. USB in. Go in PSP ---> GAME ----> UPDATE

If you dont have these create them all caps just like that. A PSP Folder, then inside that, a GAME FOLDER then inside that. UPDATE

Just rename the download and rename the file to EBOOT.PBP instead of what it dls as. Throw that into the UPDATE FOLDER
boot up and go to game then update and there you go. The 2.0 will allow to still downgrade as well.
