hey guys, i picked up my first psp today, i got the daxter bundle. But what sony kept advertising was the video output, and the cable that is required for that isn't included in the bundle. :| I was wondering what cable i should buy? i have an idea, but i want to make sure before i order one.

Thanks in advance for your help

kinda like how they advertise the High Definition crap w/the PS3 ... and it won't even output HD out of the box.

Exactly, one of my biggest gripes about the PS3 marketing. HD! HD! HD! Bluray! Bluray! Bluray! 1080p! 1080p! 1080p!

Fineprint: Included in box: composite cables only.

Can you really blame them though? With all the different options out there, they'd either end up screwing people over (packing something that couldn't be used) or giving people something that would be discarded (in favor of better quality).

I'm torn between going for the component vs s-video. Of course the component would look better, but s-video would have better portability. I'm leaning towards s-video since I'll likely be using it for bedroom gaming.

Beware: people over at Ars are saying that game output is 480p (progressive) only not 480i, and that the PSP composite cables only say "video and photos" vs. "video photos gaming" for the component cables.

not necessarily, it just means that i need to get the component cable instead... when it comes out.

thanks all for your help
