PSP Power on problems

So I've confiscated my brother PSP and now have it at my house trying to fix it. When I plug it into the wall power the power light comes on, so I know it is holding a charge. The problem is that it won't turn on. I have researched some things online and come up with some ideas.

The Power fuse is toast. The solution that I read is to bridge it by soldering. But I wonder what this will mess up if its not the problem?

The LCD screen is toast. I will have to get a new LCD screen for it.

Does anyone else have any ideas what it could be? Anyone faced a similar problem before?

Thanks 🙂

Has he messed with custom firmwares and possibly "bricked" it?

I know I have seen LCDs and mobo's on ebay before if it comes down to a hardware problem

If he bricked it he can try using that Pandora's Battery I've been hearing about. Try qj.net.

I don't think he "bricked" it. He's only 15 and doesn't mess with things like that. My theory is he may have dropped it. Llamma is where I got the idea for bridging the TD fuse.
