Sony PSP or a Personal Media Player such as the iAudio X5L?

EDIT: PSP rumored to come with 8GB of memory. Text

Is your use mainly for playing media? If so, get a PMP... memory sticks for PSP are still really expensive, and largest MS Pro Duo is still only 2GB...

If you want to play games though, get the PSP

i bought a psp 2 weeks ago. so far i have snes on it with FF3, chrono trigger, castlevania and others, neogeo CD with metal slug 1 and 2, king of fighter and others, scummv with sam-n-max, days of the tentacle and curse of monkey island.

i bought a 2gb stick for a great deal at $50 after rebates and adjustments. the 4gb just came out but insanely expensive. the old lucas art games looks amazing on the psp screen. the only thing i don't like is the direction buttons makes fighting games suck ass. there are mods to fix it, but i don't feel like voiding the warranty just yet.

If you get the PSP make sure you have firmware 2.0 or lower if you want access to the full capibilties / homebrew.

the new firmwares like 2.6 can have *some* homebrews thanks to the GTA exploit. the one i got from Target was a 1.51 which upgraded to 2.0.
