I'm not a fanboi 😛 but psp easily wins.
you can play:
music - 4x the size of most DAPs with 1/4 battery life
movies - Tiny screen for movies, UMD prices (or encoding hassle) and you have to hold it for 2 hours.
psp games - Any good ones?
tons of games from a wide selection of non-sony consoles - Best bit, but expensive to play emu's
then there's the web browsing option, ebook potential, etc..

had a ds, the screen was waaay too small.
I guess i need to look in fs/ft forums to see if anyone has a psp with version less than 2.0
Do they have mame emulators and everything for the psp? what about writeable media since you can use a xd card with the gp2x
Thanks

I have nearly every legal mame rom known and the gp2x is an emulator for lots of systems.
Opinions?

Ok well you can get version 2.0 because theres a downgrader for it so you can go back to 1.5 where all the fun stuff is. There's a Mame emulator, but from what I hear it's slow and doesn't have sound. There are nes, snes, genesis, gba emulators out there though, and a ton of homebrew games / apps being developed. As far as storage is concerned the PSP uses PRO DUO memory from both Sandisk and Sony. The PSP can read up to 4gb cards, but those are expensive, so a 2gb would suit you just fine.

It's OK, but the DS is not meant to do all that. Just fun games, plus wireless multiplayer LAN/WAN games.
