PSP help!

I'm thinking of getting my brother a PSP but isn't there different revisions of it? I was thinking of getting one off of the FS thread but I'd like to know a little more.

There is the first version and the new "slim" version. That's it. The "slim" one is just a bit slimmer and can output video to a TV. You can find plenty of details online.

Slim version is supposed to be more power-efficient, I believe GamePro said if you use the battery from the fat version in the slim, you will get double the playtime.

The battery will. The cover won't.

There are special custom battery covers you can get for your PSP, I will see if I can dig up the link again.

The PSP slim is Pandora-proof too, I believe.

There are new sony released batteries that have higher capacity than the regular fat battery. They come with extra covers for use with the slims as well. runs about 45 bucks

I think it's been said but
PSP-1000 is the older model, PSP-2000 or 2001, slim is the newer one.

I have also been thinking about picking up a PSP, I might start working out and need something to play while I'm on the bike 😛
