I got this for my bday, cracked it open and found out you need to buy everything (apps/games). Anything else I can do with it before I ebay it ? It is an expensive present.. I just dont have time or money to sink into it..

PSP Go limited functions and nickel and dime your ass version.

Sell it and buy a PSP-3000. It's the better system. Not as small but it's compatible with everything.

Either that or the OP was merely inarticulate and meant that it sucks that you have to buy all the games online and can't get used UMD games. If that's the case then I agree. Otherwise yes, full of fail, quit complaining about not being able to pirate.

Trade it for a video card for your PC, then load up on $5 games from Steam and Direct2Drive. Not quite free, but cheap and legal.

I have the original psp already, i have ds, ds lite, dsi. Why should I trade in my old stuff to get a soft version of the same thing for a psp go ? Its like paying sony twice for the same stuff. Im just asking because apparently I can't just dump my psp stuff into a psp go for free

Yeah, that's the big problem with it. A lot of controversy over it because Sony was originally going to rebate UMD owners. I suppose it makes a pretty good PMP though. Has 16gb of storage meaning you can put a ton of movies and music on it. It's also smaller and lighter than the oblong PSPs so it's ideal for that job.
