First off i would like to say that i know that this is a kindof strange place to post something like this but hte official PSP boards wount work for me for some reason. I was walking into my house the other day with my PSP, iPod, and other stuff in a bag. I slipped on some ice and hit the ground fairly hard. The bag with my stuff hit the ground just as hard. When i got inside I immediatly started to check all of my electronics. My iPod was fine, but my PSP is another story. Now, it always seems to thing i am pressing down on the analog nub. It is always scrolling through things on menues very fast, making it nearly imposssible to select what i want. If i do, playing the games is just as difficult. The character will always be trying to run backwards or something like that. This makes my PSP useless. I dont want to go shell out $200 for a new one unless i have to, and if there is something i can do myself, i dont want to shell out $60-$100 to have it fixed. My warrenty is already over so i dont mind taking it apart if neccessary. Thanks for the help.

Well it's easy enough to remove/replace the stick assembly, AFAIK. Consult google for a howto (there are a bunch).

So if this part is indeed what's busted and you can find a decently priced replacement, DIY would be the way to go.

Thnaks. And normally i dont refresh that quickly but i left it alone for like ten minutes and it was like 4 pages back, and i would think that most people dont look that far back.
I guess i will take it apart this weekend and see if i can figure out what is wrong with it.
