PSA: Winters coming!!!!!

I live next to this old (80 something) lady who is from CA, she refuses to buy new/decent tires. She actually buys used tires that barely pass the state inspection requirement with like 1/32" of tread for her FWD Chrysler 300, or whatever it is. Every fvckin' year my neighbor and I have to pull her out of my driveway with a backhoe after every snowfall - even just a dusting. She says that it is evironmentally irresponsible to purchase "new" tires when there are so many that are still "good" going to landfills. PA winters require decent tires, I only feel comfortable with a 4X4 truck due to the steepness of our driveways. Damn treehuggers........
