me too, I hate those noobs ;)

Yeah.

Freakin' noobs.

They'll like, post at the end of a meaningful thread, and say absolutely nothing.

And then, in the middle of everything, they'll mention something like the fact that apparently in T3 judgement day DOES happen, and in the end the Arnold guy lies to someone and kills the T-X chick or something.

And then there was Grashopper2x. You can never be too careful. ;) If it was big $$$ stuff I might still be cautious, but, under $100 or thereabouts I'd probably do it. Above that it would just depend who and what and how much.

BTW, I used the BB Cards, thanks again.

Uh, I knew Grasshopper personally. Hell everyone who went to the DFW Rangers game meet sent HIM the money, and he didn't screw us.

Great. Perhaps he had changed his ways for good. But he was originally banned for trading issues and perhaps it would happen again someday had he not be discovered. Maybe he was just waiting for the 'right' opportunity to come along, then again, maybe not. I'm just saying you NEVER know. Doesn't matter how many posts you have or don't have. A newbie could be a very reputable person and an elite lifer could decide to start scamming.

While anything is possible, it is EXTREMELY unlikely that someone like NFS4, RossMAN, me, etc. would start ripping people off.

ESPECIALLY considering how many people know my full name, address, phone number, where I work, etc.

I still don't understand how he had all the ebay negs and the bad trading stuff. Of course he didn't rip you guys off, because you were local and he was trying to be your friends.

No I see your point but there were circumstances not in his control that caused his "breakdown" so to speak. The trading issue in question he told me was straightened out. The eBay thing I don't think I ever got a real straight answer on, however. I'm going to respect his privacy and not say anything further about the circumstances though. I'm not condoning screwing anyone - he should have gotten his personal stuff straight before continuing on eBay, and that I'm still puzzled about, but all in all he's a good guy who let stuff from his past get dragged up.

I don't really think post count or Elite status should make a difference in FS/FT but it does.

I've done about 20 trades, have no Heatware and never shared my eBay evals with anyone I traded with.

No one ever doubted me.

He got caught. Someone recognized his homepage screenname as being one that was banned on AT at one time. Thus a line was made between his name and the banned name and he was rebanned. At least that was how I followed the story.

I guess he was originally banned for some bad trades (no idea if they were intentional or not, but, there was enough reason at one time to ban him for it).

Beyond that different people have different accounts. I don't have any problems with him, he was interesting and added some character here. I was shocked myself. I only mentioned it because you just never know about people.

Well ya, I suppose when you spend all day finding posting hotdeals for the benefit of AT'ers, and still find time to track down all the OT "where to find a good webhost" threads so you can set 'em straight, I don't think people are assuming you're going to screw them over.

Lately the n00bs are getting crazy. I had one tell me if I can some references he'd ship first so I send (20+ heat, 130+ ebay (back to 1999), and 65+ paypal transactions, plus being around here for a long time (I was reinstated :) after a year off for something apparently only funny to me)....

then he renegs and says if I paypal him, he will ship first?!?!

no deal there
