PSA: The Dollar Sign Goes BEFORE the Numbers

Look in Hot Deals (or any other forum for that matter) and you'll see multiple threads where people put the dollar sign after the numbers. WHY?! Are you people dense or something? It's $## not ##$. It's not like you have to hit extra keys or something.

then shouldn't it be pronounced "dollars 2" ??

like, in india, they have Rs. 50, which is read as "rupees 50"

No, it's so you know you're talking about money so you don't read it and say "three point thirty dollars" when it's actually "three dollars and thirty cents." All of Europe does it, it's not like some alien concept that I just made up.

No, it's so you know you're talking about money so you don't read it and say "three point thirty dollars" when it's actually "three dollars and thirty cents." All of Europe does it, it's not like some alien concept that I just made up.

Then why don't we do what the spanish do and put "i" or "¿" at the beginning of each sentence thats an exclamation or question?
