PSA: the CDC is currently on fire....today would be a bad day to contract Ebola.

I thought that might be the case at first until I saw how high the flames were.

If its bitumen they need to heat it up - roofing work can quite easily cause fires if you're not careful.

Not that it would have opened on time even without the fire. This is the federal government, remember? :p

I was walking back with my lunch when the fire started.

A likely alibi.
My office isn't anywhere near that building, dammit!

how did you take that picture?
It's from the news link. I don't have my camera with me or I would have gotten a few snaps of the fire for you all. :(

likely story, i think you started it

Thanks for warning me; I was considering contracting Ebola today, too. I'll wait a few days. :)

So, Fausto, which days are good days to contract Ebola? Mondays, right at the start of the work week?

"There's no confirmation on what sparked the blaze although it's suspected that building material on the roof may have caught fire. "

Ironically they are getting a new building because the roof leaks in their existing building.

The roof leafs, the ductwork spews black crap on occasion, the air intake for my building is at ground level next to the loading dock, the airhandling system has two settings (85° or 55°

), the power craps out every other day.....shall I go on? :|
