I think a very good majority of accidents can be avoided if these 2 rules were obeyed.
Yet I still see cars barely leaving 2-3 car lengths in front of them when going 70 mph on the highway.
And I almost get hit daily by people who change lanes without carefully checking.
Check over your shoulders if you have to.
I wish they would strictly enforce these by putting more cops on the roads and adding stiff penalties.
On my daily commute of 70 miles round trip, there's always at least one accident that's backing up the traffic for miles.
