PSA regarding the Game of Thrones thread

Ok, so I am two episodes into season 1 of Game of Thrones and I figured I'd start at the beginning of the thread and see reactions to the episodes as I watch them. At page two I came across this:

LA Times has posted a nice character cheat sheet which has photos of many of the characters and some background for each when you hover over the photo.

I figured that would be nice to kind of get a feel for the many characters in the show. Apparently that L.A. Times page was updated and I'm pretty sure I just spoiled a big part of the show by hovering over the first character's picture.

Figured I'd let people know in the event they did the same thing...

Might want to actually read the article before skipping to the pictures, if you did you'd see it was a primer for the start of Season 2.

you'll forget before you reach that episode anyway.
Also lots of people have read the books so no spoilers for them.

Also you've just started watching it, why risk spoilers by looking up information?
You can know the characters by watching it. I've never read anything and I didn't have a problem.

If you're only two episodes into season 1, I'd suggest steering clear of any and all GOT threads on the internet. By the grace of HBO Go or however you're viewing, it shouldn't take long to catch up, at which point... go nuts.

Yeah, if you're just starting out, don't read anything on the internet about GoT. I ended up getting a nice spoiler for next season completely on accident. There are some fairly significant plot twists, so best to avoid reading anything about it.

yeah i did too. bah! heh

Don't google or read anything about this on the internet if you don't want it spoiled. I spoiled the events of last night's episode while I was reading Game of Thrones simply by googling direwolf.

Yeah, I clicked the link thinking maybe I can get some background on the characters and kind of line up who is family and put names to faces to help as I watch the show. I'm only two episodes in so I wanted to make sure I knew who people were talking about.

But yeah... I'm not looking up shit about that show anymore, I'll just watch it.
