another new feature of recent BMWs and other cars is the movement of the turn signal stalk from the steering wheel to the back corner of the trunk, thus preventing it from getting in the way of today's busy driver

not the original that was there originally.

Wait - so the origninal was there originally? Shocking!

BMW is just feeling the pressure from Audi so they have stepped up their marketing. Hell you don't even need a lane with an Audi

I know this is on my buy list in the next few years. The wife said I could get a mid-life crisis car. Just have to wait for the full mid-life crisis to hit:

Good god why? That car is so ridiculously overpriced it's not even funny. $62,000 for a bloated 2 seat convertible that isn't even that fast? Hell, you could buy a Corvette convertible for that much scratch.

So go and buy one then, rather than foaming at the mouth about it.

My midlife crisis baby is similar, though I prefer the look of the z3 more. I'll let you know when that happens (second tuesday of next week likely).

I do computer work for an uber rich couple, they bought their son a 3 series BMW for his 1st car, he totaled it within a year. When they got the insurance money they decided up upgrade him to a 7 series. I guess shit like this make sense to rich people who drive BMW's, seems to be pretty typical.

Yeah, no wonder the super-rich are so fucking spoiled. When I was in high school I got my family's rusty old Corolla and I was so thrilled to have my very own car. And I knew that if I crashed the thing I was NOT getting another car and I could ride the bus instead.

Hooray for actually valuing money and possessions.

😵

I'm looking at a 2009 Z4 sdrive35i. By the time I'm ready to buy it should be in the $30000 range, and it's twin turbo 6 will do 0-60 in 4.7s, AND it can go around corners. The Vette is maybe .3-.4 seconds faster, but it handles like a pickup truck.

LOL at "not that fast".

Fritzo, I disagree. The 'vette corners pretty damn good. Fit and finish, road noise, yeah definitely more truck-like 😀

Hey, I drive perfectly normal in a 3 series. I'm afraid of people targeting me.

The most jerk-face drivers I've come across are Range Rovers.
