PSA: Purchase a BMW, get your own lane for free.

Just like the rest of you have probably noticed, driving your Veyron every day is not smart. Racking up miles on a car like this isn't a good idea, even though I could afford 10 more of them if needed. So I decided to look for a daily driver.

The BMW salesman I was speaking with let me in on some insider information. When you buy a BMW it now comes with your very own lane. It's that lane on the far left. I always thought that was the passing lane, but I was mistaken.

Now I can drive just under the speed limit in the far left lane and not worry about anyone ever getting in my way or slowing me down. The first day I noticed some cars getting right on my rear bumper, flashing their headlights, passing me on the right and honking their horns at me. I called my salesman to inquire what that was all about. He laughed and said, "You own a BMW now, they don't really exist. Don't worry, you will get used to your BMW soon."

He was right, the second day I hardly noticed anyone on my tail, and by the third day, I no longer saw any other cars on the road at all. Also, since I have the road to myself, when I reach my exit I can just swerve accross 3 lanes without using my signal or rearview mirrors. These BMWs are great!

My high school was populated by a bunch of rich white kids. The ones who drove all had expensive cars like BMW's.

I found that generally, the more expensive the car, the more of an asshole they were as a driver. Terrible drivers, and the worst part is, one kid had his car totaled 3 times and got a new car every time.

I mean, how much of a dick do you have to be to race down a 30 mph speed limit road at a 130 mph? I don't care if it was 2AM. At least that guy had his license suspended

Actually, it's not, but I know that car. It's the same year/model as mine, and I have the same rims.

From when I hit a deer. (when replacing from bumper cover, I went with the M class version, not the original that was there originally.)

Ahhh.. I'm about to buy an 08 or 09 5 series or an audi a6 08 or 09.. cant justify the price of a brand new one when in 3 years I'm going to lose half the money..

Anyone have a 5 series or an a6? I'm looking at both this weekend. Any insight?

If you don't mind going a tad smaller, consider an M3 instead of a 5 series. It's one of the best driving cars in the world.
