Seriously.. keep it down in the old age home.

I'm 29. Not yet ready for the old age home. But if I'm this cranky already, you can imagine how cranky I'll be when I'm an old man. In fact, I might be so cranky that I'll go around wacking people with my cane.

that will never happen...there is a reason this is OFF TOPIC....meaning ANYTHING NOT INVOLVING THE TOPIC OF TECHNOLOGY (not directly involving it anyways).....if you dont want to read it....dont click on that thread...it's as simple as that

Stop telling us what some kid did in class. Stop asking us about who you should take to prom. Stop asking us to do your homework for you (the answer is 42, btw). Stop asking what college is like. Stop asking what courses to take in college. Stop talking about HS/college. Stop being a little fanboy that thinks he's a car expert even though he has no experience. Stop installing 6" exhaust tips on the end of your Civic's 1" exhaust straw. Stop asking for Cliffs Notes because your ADHD a$$ has an attention span that won't allow you to read more than 5 sentences. Stop telling us that you'll make $100k out of school because you think a CS degree is so rare and special. Stop telling us that your uncle drives a $90k Mercedes. Stop getting so emotional about everything and threatening that your skinny 140 lb a$$ will beat me up over the internet. Stop putting down everyone's real life girlfriend because your girlfriend is like Jessica Alba, only 10x better looking. Stop telling us that your 18 year old girlfriend that you've been dating for 3 months will never cheat on you because you have confidence. Stop giving career advice if you're still in school. Stop neffing.

I really think that there should be a requirement that members must be 21 years old before they're allowed to post.

CLIFFS NOTES: Children, stop posting.

While I am not a member of this group you speak of, I have recently departed from that group in the past year.

You need to shut the fvck up. They have just as much right to be here as you do, and if you do not like the content of their threads or the comments they make in other threads, simply block posts by that user, or do not click on the thread.

if people stopped asking dumb questions, it wouldn't be "Off Topic" anymore :( :(

The general maturity level even without the HS kids around has been disturbing. Nothing you can do if you're to stay here... or the mods strike down upon those with great vengeance and furious anger.

While there's nothing anyone can do about it, I do agree that when you read an interesting (or serious) topic and it's filled with the most mundane and pointless replies for pages and pages it's really annoying. I don't know who the culprit is exactly, but my guess would be younger people. Without jobs. Young bums, to be exact.

I never proclaimed myself to be cool in the first place.

read much?

Comprehend much? Probably not, you're still in high school (or have a high schooler's intellect).

I don't think I'm "cool". I don't get caught up in popularity contests.

neither i nor the majority of the users i know of the high school age, ever post about any of that, nor are we annoying, stupid, or tend to whine alot. most of what you say we post tend to be true for some, but more of us are a bit more mature and intelligent. i also don't like most of the posts you mentioned, but such things as asking about college is valid and actually a smart thing to ask about. if you have such a proplem, leave, or take it up with individuals through PM. or, do as i do, and ignore the stupid posts.

I concur
A public meeting place, a Pub, if you will... A place for computer junkies to boldly post Off Topic... Things you might want to tell everyone... Or things you wouldn''t say to anyone else.
People post threads in this forum becuase it deals with issues relevant to them, and some of the people have dealt with some of the same issues and can thusly depart some of their knowledge to help the youngens

As the forum description says, a "meeting Place." People can talk about what ever they want and thats what happens.

OP, can you think of a better place people should post at besides AT? If you think there is a problem with who is posting here, offer them an alternative to AT other than "don't post here."

And if you think the influx of young people is a detriment to the site, then go someplace else where they have a crowd to your liking. Young people are here to stay, quit your whining.

Then you are posting in the wrong forum. But if I can't get neffers and parody starters banned, this isn't going to happen either.

Congrats. You've seen sunlight recently. There's no doubt some people I couldn't say this about.

Okay, that comment is not relevant at all to the general point I was making.

Apparently you do not posses the required mental capacity to argue back against me.
