People ask questions or make statements sometimes that would make more sense if we could see where they lived or any additional info about them, if any. To have your profile disabled is a let down. Its seems as though Ive run into that more and more lately. My profile has been enabled from day one.

Me too. A started in late 99 over at overclockers.com (never registered) and made offers for hardware using email. The opportunities were good but few and far between. Someone I traded with one day mentioned AT and the rest was history.

For the same reason many of us don't participate in MySpace, Facebook, blogging, etc. Once something's on the internet, it's permanent.
