Only 4, might get a few more tomorrow before the drawing. I'll skip a few coffees for the week to make up for my splurge.

After the usual (quitting job, paying off debts and long vacation) I'll probably buy one of these then go on another vacation driving around until I get bored, sell it then buy a few houses.

Spend all the money in a few years, end up waiting tables at Red Lobster and telling people my story to see if they believe it.

Yep the bad thing is PB has worse odds and cost more to play than MM. And MM has pretty bad odds. Yet people still play PB as "its a bigger jackpot!!!".

That is exactly why it has bigger jackpots. Because of the worse odds and higher cost.

My point wasn't that either of them was "worth it". I put that in quotes because "worth it" means different things to different people.

My point was that if you are waiting for a large jackpot to play it, as a lot of people do, then 390M would be a large jackpot for MegaMillions, whereas it wouldn't be that large for PB. Some people like to wait until the jackpots are over a certain amount before they will start playing.

PB jackpots are usually about twice as large as MM when they are at their peak. People like to wait for peak jackpot amounts to keep their playing to a minimum, for obvious reasons.
 
Look like my 2 tickets are a waste. Back to work in the morning I go.

Look like no one won so the jackpot is higher.

I do have my emergency fund set up. More than enough to make it for a few months. 🙂

I do like my boss and my co workers so I will stay 1 month instead of 2 week notice.
 
I'll play the lottery although it's a total waste of a few dollars.

What gets me is most people will spend time, money, and energy on the lotto and not even invest in themselves. In 2014 500,000 new millionaires were created. It would seem that you have a better shot at becoming a millionaire by working hard and smart. You need to skill up and I'm talking 12-14 hour work days. Maybe even on Sundays. That also means no Netflix, video games, etc. My guess is that's what it takes to break thru to millionaire status.

I guess it's easier to just play the lotto. 🙂
