Went up to MC today to pickup a Core i5 2500k and Asus z68 matx board. Combined was expecting $330 out the door. I picked up some other stuff and she said "$307." Looked at the receipt and $50 off the mobo. It's not advertised, but if you're looking to pick it up they are still doing this promo. I was told it wouldn't work by the guys in back too. Worth a shot if you're going to buy anyways.

Just to verify, not 2 weeks ago my buddy bought a 2500k and got $50 off one of the Gigabyte motherboards.

Bought a 2500k and an Asus Pz68 MB Saturday and even though it was in an email for $50 off had to get a supervisor to ok it and only did so after a phone call to someone else. Acted like they were doing me a favor! Even thou in an email ad it was not in their system and would not let the cashier ring it up. They do this all the time. Nice deals but you have to argue.......

Honestly, in all 5 MicroCenters I've shopped over the years, the only argument I've ever engaged in in getting a price matched was getting one of the ATL stores PM a one-day sale price Fry's had on a 2500k cpu...$149.99. They relented and this was during the time they had $80 off any Z68 motherboard with purchase of a 2500k. Good day that was....took all of 10 minutes of time.

Otherwise, never ever had to "argue" about any price in their catalog, emails, or PM'ing Newegg or Fry's.

Yeah, when I went in a month or so ago, to get my 990FX Extreme4 board and my 1045T, their printed ad said $40 off any compatible mobo, with purchase of these CPUs, and it listed my CPU. But the register needed an override, it didn't ring up automatically.

Still, I got my deal, I thought it was a decent deal overall.
