Yeah I will give Danger Mouse credit for starting the fad (Grey Album was pretty good), but, wow, anyone can transpose one song and play it behind another.

I don't mind it if the groups collaborate on it instead of just having their songs mashed together by some DJ. Take "Collision Course" by Jay-Z and Linkin Park for example. I think it was very well done and I like every song on there. It's certainly one of the few CDs I've bought in the past couple of years that I felt was actually worth the $13.

I guess those really aren't mash-up albums. I agree with you on everything though.

I guess I'm the only one who wasn't too impressed with Collision Course. The song that got some airtime, "Numb," sounds decent but the rest of the album just doesn't really mash well. The nicest thing I could say about it is that it sounds like a DJ is switching between two songs so in reality, you're getting twice the music that you paid for...

And if you, God forbid, actually listen to the words, Jay-Z's I've-got-lots-of-money-and-I'm-gonna-take-your-girlfriend lyrics seem out of place next to Linkin Park's why-won't-you-hug-me-daddy? lyrics
