This. When I send out that email, I even cc everyone in my group, such that there is backup and everyone else knows that that person did indeed receive the notice.

This policy was in place before I arrived at my previous job and I had to adapt to it anyway, as our boss was notorious for having a slippery mind. There were only 4 of us, so it's not like the cc's were sent all over creation.

That wastes bandwidth!!!

;)

MotionMan

somebody please think of the bandwidth!! :p

the "office manager" here CCs me for every little detail on the copiers, puters and everything beyond. it gets really annoying hearing the voicemail about the same thing i just responded in email about. it gets even more annoying when she asks me about it AFTER i get the return receipt from her reading my response, assking me if i understood the question.

Yup.

Do you have to go to school for that?

Nope.

But you do need to meet the minimum requirements and pass the Bar Examination.

Every year I must confirm with Blue Cross that my wife is still married to me, entitled to benefits and has no other form of insurance.

They used to require that this be done by mail and every year, I would get a letter stating that my wife has been denied because I failed to submit proof. Every year I sent it in the same day I received it. After many, many years of this I got tired of them throwing away the letter.

Now, they get the letter, I do it online at their website and they get a fax. Once every 3 years or so, I still get the letter.

They'll be getting all three forms of verification from here on until my last year on earth.

There are a lot of incompetent people out there in the working world. This is how I interact with those that work at Blue Cross.

Deal with it!
