it takes love, honesty, communication, trust, compromise, understanding of the other and being true to the person you are with. You also need commitment and sacrifice to make it work too.
 
There is a need for commitment and sacrifices from both sides in order to make a marriage work.

Yes, Love itself is not enough to sustain a marriage, but Love can keep 2 individuals as lovers.. thats about as far as it can get by itself.
 
Love requires action. Without action, love dies. When real, true Love is present, action will be taken to solve any issue.
