Friend planted chili's next to bell peppers and they crossed, some chilis mild, some bell peppers fire, but amazingly tasty stuffed.

I'm pretty good with general spicy-ness. When I order my thai curry I fuckin' go 4 out of 5 or full blown 5 out of 5.

But I swear, I take one bite out of fresh grocery jalepeno and it is INSTANT hiccups with my mouth scorching for the next 5 minutes straight. Am I just a pansy, or is it not normal to take bites out of (non-cooked) jalepeno's?

Had ghost pepper jerky recently. It feels like someone punched you in the nuts, but instead of nuts it was the taste buds.

There is a company in the SW US that sells Jerky all over the desert (Same jerky as the "Alien Jerky" place on the way to Vegas). The have a habanero-covered "colon blow" flavor that will just about kill you.

I always wanted some of this for my friends who thought they were tough:

The small writing says 7.1 Million Scoville Units.

I've always been curious to try some of the insane stuff that's way off the charts, just to say that I've tried it.

Though when you get to that point is it actually dangerous? Like, degrade tooth enamel and stuff? I find when I'm eating lot of raw hot peppers my teeth start to hurt, and those are probably on the low side of the scale.

All peppers are different, and I think the sensation of hottness can change day to day for the same person. Maybe the store you go to gets hotter than average jalapeños. For pickled jalapeño Trappeys is tits. Nice and crisp.
