CHECK THE DRIP TRAY UNDERNEATH IT AND CLEAN IT IF NECESSARY!

I've been living in my apartment since August. It's a really nice place and everything is fairly new. I keep everything clean in here, but there has always been a weird smell in my kitchen that was driving me nuts. It's been slipping my mind and tonight I finally pulled the drip tray from underneath the fridge. It was like a toxic wasteland. I scrubbed it clean, popped it back in, and an hour later the smell is gone. :thumbsup:
 
Should look into that myself... thought it was just my roommate leaving dishes in the sink for a few weeks, but the smell is still there and the garbage can is empty.
 
No smells but the motor sounds weird sometimes when it's running. I couldn't tell you the last time I checked the filter/tray down there. 😱

Thank goodness I rent.
