Microsoft has a button that sucks bigtime.

My situation was additionally compounded by the fact that I do 500 threads/page and 500 posts/page... I accidentally clicked that and sent a 60pg job to the printer - on my quota of 250 pages.

Fortunately, I managed to abuse my powers fast enough to cancel the job in such a way that it only debited 3 pages from my account (the 2 that were already on the printer and the third that was in transmission)

Don't let this happen to you!

Seriously, why the HELL would you want a one-push print button? That's something you want to CONFIRM *ALWAYS* because there are so many relevant settings... and it actually costs you something (printing resources)

An *UNCONFIRMED* print button. It doesn't even give me the standard print window - just dumps sh!t straight to default.

Well yeah dummy. That's what the PRINT button does.

Sorry if I don't just go around printing willy-nilly.

I absolutely hate unconfirmed printing. :(

I have my default printer set to a PDF Writer, though.... so it's not actually going to go anywhere unless I really intended for it to do so. ;)

I changed the default for this system to the dot matrix trouble ticket printer :p

Doesn't count against quota and even if you let it print all the way to the end, you get a very comical result

Presumably - but it's not large and is very difficult to accidentally click on.

I have to pay 5 cents per page.

We get 250 free, and SEVEN cents a page after that.
I don't have to print 250 pages (your quote is per year?) per year. More like 10-20 pages, at most.

Per semester - and IST is a paper-heavy major... But the elementary ed people are ALREADY running out. Of course, they're stupid as tar, and I suspect there's no good reason they're printing out 20-slide Powerpoints with one slide/page :p
