PSA: If the forum is slow for you..

If the forum is slow for you, and you're using Windows XP:

-Find the file 'hosts'. You can find this file in the WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc folder
-Add the following line:
127.0.0.1 <TAB> dynamic.anandtech.com (So, that is 127.0.0.1 [TAB-button] dynamic.anandtech.com)
This ensures that every query for dynamic.anandtech.com will be routed to your own computer (127.0.0.1), thus making the forums non-slow, ie fast.
-Save the file.
-Reboot.

Kind of... The speed up is a result of not looking for the dynamic ad server anymore. Not because you remove ads, but because the dynamic server seems to be down more than it's up. If you bypass it, you don't have to sit there and wait for a response when it's not working.
