not sure if you are rocking a cell phone from 1980, but mine clearly states where the call came from where the voicemails are listed. so it's not really that big of a deal if the number gets lost.

i'm going through this a bit right now while job searching and have had some messages that i don't fully understand or what company they are from, but i just call the number back where the message originated from ... problem solved!

Oh, so you make assumptions.

:hmm:

If someone doesn't have those things or something similar to that ready when they're listening to voicemail in that kind of environment then they don't deserve any better treatment.

I typically try and say my number at the beginning and the end.

I realize I was born just after the invention of electricity but, I was taught phone etiquette before I was ever allowed to use the phone. Add that to the list of things 'youts' should know before leaving home.

The last sentence is always ""again,this is rudeguy. (Insert phone number overly enunciated) "

But most people are idiots

1. Office phone (only shows last number);
2. Caller ID blocking (California);
3. Not all Caller ID numbers are accurate (For example, the Caller ID from my office sends you to the general receptionist for our 10 story office building and, since we are sub-tenants, there is almost no way you can find me without knowing my name.)
