The amount of scam threads on here are amazing, and each time the OP seems genuinely unsure as to whether or not it is a real deal or not.

Look guys, if within the first sentence of the first reply the "seller" fucks up on their punctuation and/or spacing, it is a scam. Simple as that.

Example from this thread: http://forums.anandtech.com/me...=2302202&enterthread=y

First sentence: Thanks for taking the time to look at my property. My name is Nicole Miller,I'm 43 years old,I'm a construction engineer and I'm the owner of this condo(2 bedrooms,2 bathrooms,1100 square footage).

This just screams scam to me, and it should to everyone else, that is all!

If you look on the L&R forum that alone will show you enough scams to never use the place again.

I have received some really good deals on craigslist.
You just have to keep your wits about you when dealing with people.

The strangest scam I came across is what looked to be copying old housing listings and then replying with "Send your money to England".
