i flick cig butts on the ground while sitting at stop lights listening to my 30k watt stereo at volume 11 all the while punching mentally challenged kids in the back of the head.


i have a fairly loud stereo in my truck, it will be even louder when i get my sub installed. the doors just dont carry enough bass to even hear at medium volumes. i like to hear full music, but im not one to have a 100 yard bass system in my vehicles. it doesnt usually bother me tho, for the most part i dont hear other peoples stereos over mine and road noise. at lights, its a minor issue, as im only there for about 45 seconds. i can be tolerant for longer than that.

lots of cities have laws against the loud stereos, i remember here in phoenix back in the 90s the cops busted a ton of them for being able to hear them farther than 50 ft away. ticket was crap tho, easy to pay and didnt require any equipment changes. its still a law, but a total non issue for most people.

I love bass, but I do turn it down at stop lights. Only time I don't is when some ass hat is next to me with is up...then of course I have to turn mine up cuz im 12yrs old.

I think most people who rant about this especially have a problem with rap music. Some sort of contractor was in my neighborhood last week. He had an F250, with a super high end after market system. He was blasting Journey loud enough I could hear Steve Perrys voice a block away and know the words. Something tells me, this would upset the people too, but not nearly as much as the rap blasters. I hear plenty of older white people blasting rock music at the same volumes. And many of the "fuck those people!" carry on about how crappy the stereos sound. I have a friend who put about 12k into his system, and honestly it sounds better than 95% of home setups. But I still see people calling his system ghetto and shitty sounding lol.
