I have no locations history for any days. Must have turned off the setting at some point.

Same here. Google seems to be pretty straightforward with their warning and permission requests. I am guessing it prompted me at some point asking for permission and I must have turned it off. I don't remember specifically going out of my way to turn it off.

That being said, who cares? Google's business model is well known and they certainly aren't alone in this. I don't see it has shocking or even problematic.

I clicked your link. It says I need to sign in with a Google account. Seems like something that doesn't apply to folks who don't choose to sign up for it.

I think this applies only if you sign in. I have never signed in.
