The li-po batteries i use are very hazardous, they could catch fire and explode. I had one that had a huge liquid bubble forming underneath the plastic wrap.

So what do the RC heli experts here recommend for a hobby-grade starter (electric)? I was thinking the honey bee or something similar, preferably under $250. I'd also prefer something indoor and outdoor, if possible.

I have an EFlite Blade CP barely used. It includes the Plast-Blades, training kit, aerobatic kit, and a flight sim program with the connection cable. The flight sim and connection cable make it possible for you to connect the controller to computer and practice flying the Blade CP.
All for $200
PM me if interested.

Wow! Talked to local radioshack CSR and she said they weren't expecting it to come back until Christmas! Another guy said Thanksgiving. There's 11 stores within 4 mile radius, and none of them show up as available on the website. I've also called a few too.

They're also available at Toys R Us. My friend wanted one and Radio Shack was OOS, so we went to Toys R Us and they had 5 in stock.
