PSA For College Students

Be aware, and don't lose your money to a hidden fee.

Colleges are starting to implement a new procedure in some places, mainly bigger universities, where the college is deciding to charge students extra to take certain exams. It's huge in Foreign Language classes, and so students are getting screwed over and are charged extra to take language proficiency exams.

The sneaky thing the college does is it'll wait until the students are actually mid exam to send out the charge, so students can't deny they took the test, since they turned in an exam. Unfortunately, people still really haven't caught on much, because nobody expects the Spanish In Quiz Tuition.

Don't worry. When Americans are unable to fill the jobs due to a lack of higher education that stems from ever risings costs and being nickel and dimed, I'm sure we can get visas for foreigners to come in and do them instead! 😛

Holy crap how is that even legal? If you already paid for the course/program then it should include everything you need to do to pass said program.

I read the whole thing and still wasn't sure if it was a joke or not, but the fact that redsquirrel jumped to conclusions proved it was a joke for me.

A++++ would read again

Actually... right now there's a serious shortage of construction/trade workers, and it's supposed to get worse.

"Oh no not my Billy! He's meant for great things in college" 🙄

Precisely the problem and why college is so overpriced right now - everyone thinks they are meant for advanced education, when a good 50%+ aren't meant for it. Also why getting a tech to come out and fix something is $300 minimum right now.

You mean unable to get a job because the big corporations are outsourcing jobs overseas or implementing automation.

Realistically, how many of us ATOTers are still in college?

1995 kiddos, like myself, should have graduated (if they did so in 4 years) this past May/December

Edit: unless they did a co-op which means they'll graduate this upcoming December
