I have absolutely no idea what Top Gear is, but I do know that it's impossible to overrate Family Guy.

Why? Look at what they have to compare it to.

Exactly. And they came to a fair conclusion: the C6 is a GREAT car for what it is, and a great bargain. But it isn't a Ferrari. It never was, and it never will be. That doesn't mean the Corvette is a bad car, and like they said, it can be a lot of fun.

At its end, Futurama did everything but eclipse the great years of The Simpsons. Both were the spawn of the same creator and various interchangable writers, and remain the pinnacle of smart, witty, and entertaining cartoon comedy. The amount of satire and reality expressed remains unchallenged, even by the famed South Park. The indirectness and realism with which they proceeded each week will, for many years to come, remain the pinnacle of representative satire as a whole.
Family Guy, SouthPark, and King of the Hill proceed directly to inform the viewer of everything. The good shows do quite the opposite.
As for top gear, comaprative jibberish as I have read on here is incoherent at best. Comparing a live-action show concerning the sepcifations and performance numbers of combustion-powered transport vechicles to saterical cartoons in just plain stupid.
Is Top Gear more entertaining than Futurama? Probably not, but is it more informative; definitely.
Comapring such things is like comparing a newspaper comic in the Sunday paper with the latest issue of Scientific American.

Maybe you don't watch the same Family Guy I do, or South Park, but both of those shows can carry some obscene subtleties at times - it's part of what makes them so funny.
