PSA: Don't use FireFox while paying for postage @USPS

Theoretically, unless you click "Yes" when prompted with the question, your card will not be charged.

Of course, that is not true. Doubly so if FireFox 3 is being fucking retarded and randomly closes on your ass because it's a buggy piece of shit.

A quick search on the internet tells me that whole goddamn function in the USPS site is broken.

Cliffs:
- Don't use FF when paying for click n ship labels

USPS site blows ass

firefox blows

You can reprint the label (within either 24 or 48 hours, I think). Useful for when you accidentally click yes when it asks if the label printed correctly, or the browser crashes.

Yep. You fail at the internet.

When my Phillips head screwdriver doesn't work, I usually reach for my flat head. I don't blame the tool before doing so.

FF randomly crashing sounds like a plugin issue. It certainly isn't a default function on a standard PC.
I don't know whether to laugh or to cry.

Funny. I've never had a problem with paypal shipping or USPS. Or even UPS for that matter. I agree, OP FAIL

ahem.

I never inferred cause and effect. Click and ship does not cause Firefox to fail. (Although I do see the ambiguity in the OP)

1. Click and ship "did this label print correctly..." line is NOT true since you don't have to click yes and you will still be charged
2. Firefox randomly crashes. It's called random crashing because you can't replicate the error. Don't believe me?
Results 1 - 10 of about 170,000 for firefox 3 randomly crashes
I started to experience real big problem with Firefox 3 RC2 that is intermittently crashing of the browser. I thought this is normal because it is still under testing and not a final stable release. Within a week, Firefox RC3 was released and it is the last RC before the final release. Updated to RC3, still the same crashing problem. About a week later, Firefox 3 final was released and I immediately updated my Firefox to the latest version hoping that the crashing problem would be fixed.

Unfortunately even the final ?stable? version of Firefox 3 is still crashing intermittently. Waited for nearly 2 weeks, but still no updates. This crashing problem is really annoying because it is intermittent and there is no way to replicate the problem. Firefox 3 can crash when opening a site with flash, opening a new tab, closing tab, filling up forms and etc? I?ve got really fed up with the problem and I had to find a solution.

Therefore, if you are currently doing click and ship, and firefox 3 crashes, don't go and pay for another goddamn identical label.

FWIW, I've printed hundreds of usps labels and used FF for years w/o issue. It wasn't until yesterday that it did this shit to me, at which point I read up on the "ff3 is a buggy piece of shit" issue.

I printed a label the other day, 1 issue, label was about 1/2 the size of a normal label. Changed to IE and reprinted and everything was ok.

He's quite right. Firefox is a buggy piece. I cannot use it at work because things that work in IE, the corporate standard, do not work in Firefox.
