PSA: Don't put milk in your espresso

I have a home espresso/cappucino machine.

I realized recently that making latte's cappuccino's actually put me to sleep and had me in this weird agitated mood. That was because the milk acts to the opposite of the caffeine. Doubly since it is warmed "steamed" milk.

So it's like being cranky and not being able to relax.

Don't put milk in your espresso! Just drink it straight black!

I like both. For an "upscale" espresso, I like a bit of orange oil in it(twist an orange peel over the cup). Cappuccino is good also for a dessert drink.

caffeine is a chemical stimulant

milk is not a depressant. it is not an 'anti-caffeine' substance

making it warmer does not change is chemical composition nor its affect on your body

its all in your head and this thread sucks

The compound in milk that makes you tired is tryptophan, you need to drink a crap load to make you even a little sleepy.

Is that even English? Go troll elsewhere.

No, seriously. 6 pints is 6 pounds of milk he's packing every day. Considering it's about 2% milk, that's 1500 Calories and 60 g of fat. That's 3/4 of your daily caloric intake and almost all of your fat intake. But wait, he's using Imperial pints which are 20% more than the proper ones. So that's 7.5 pounds of milk with 1800 Calories and 72 g of fat.

Christ's sakes man, Dairy Crest could fund half their operations off of this one.

Or maybe he's the one trolling.
