That's the only reason I installed adblock in the first place. It often takes 10 times as long for the ads to load as the actual page. Surfing is much much faster with adblock on.

I blocked the dynamic.anandtech.com servers in my hosts file because they'd often severely delay page loads, or else cause a page to completely time out.

I've never blocked an ad anywhere I frequent, call me stupid but I actually want to help Anand make a little cash off impressions.

I'll gladly help Anand finish his home theater if he would stop using obnoxious ads. Text ads or non-animated SFW ads that don't take up a lot of the screen would probably be enough.
