Right, that's even better. Now we are deciding she's a stupid b!tch...

You know, while we are at it, I bet she eats babies.

Haha, what a stupid bitch. COPS is always entertaining...seeing stupid people try to talk their way out of being arrested is definitely good TV.😀

It's not nearly as entertaining as seeing people shoot their way out of being arrested.

her other friend had a warrant out for his arrest that he seems to have forgot.

i love this show

Fact is, pretty much everything she said was right. She didn't dispute it was illegal, and they were all co-operative. Just curious, how did you figure she was liberal from that 5 minute stop?
She MUST be a liberal. If she was a Republican, she'd have cocaine in her car, not marijuana.

If someone is driving a clean car with normal clothes, you can't tell if they're liberal or not. However, if they are wearing political clothes and have political bumper stickers plastered all over their car, it's easy to read the writing on the wall.

See, here's my problem with this. With the exception of those that saw it, you are taking the op's description of it without question. It's almost like as soon as someone mentioned the words "liberal" and "college student", that was it. I saw the traffic stop, and all three were pleasant and cooperative with the cops. They got pulled over for a license plate light out. The cop asked her if she had any prior arrests, and she did not lie, and said she had been for possesion. The cop then asked the same questions of the two passengers, and the guy in the back said he was on parole from a charge in Canada. The cop asked them all get out of the car, and they all consented to a search and had nothing on them. They all sat on the curb as told, and consented to a search of the car.

While one cop searched the car, the other one started giving the guy from the back seat sh!t because he had cig burns on himself, and was pierced through his nose a couple times. The guy kept a good attitude and said it was something he just liked to do. The cop then called him a sado massochist, and he disagreed saying those were people who got off on it. When the other cop found the pot, the female driver started talking about how pot is not very harmful, and a lot of prescription drugs and alcohol are much more harmful..which is true. She didn't raise her voice and was not ranting. The cop asked her if she knew what THC has, and she did, and he said well...that "hurts your brain". They then asked her if it was illegal and she said, and I quote.. "yes, and I don't dispute that."

The guy from the back got arrested for a bench warrant for not showing up for a court date. The girl got a ticket for having under an ounce of weed, and a license plate light equipment violation, and the other passenger and her were let go. They were cooperative throughout the stop, and complied with everything the police asked.

Oh come one, now because they don't dress the same way and have an older car they fit a profile? Man, you guys are a judgemental lot aren't you...

I didn't see any stickers on the car, it was on older 90's Honda. Only one guy had a GWB shirt on.

I'm not profiling them, they're profiling themselves. By falling directly into the stereotype and broadcasting it for the world to see, how can you NOT see what they're openly trying to display?

so i guess you never judge people based on what they wear, what they drive, how they talk, or how they interact with people?

so if you saw a black guy driving down the road in a tahoe with 24" gold spoked rims, blasting rap music, and platinum teeth and all kind of jewelry...you wouldn't assume he is possibly a drug dealer or some sort of "gangsta"?

I guess I'll have to disagree. I try not to judge people on such simple terms of how they are dressed or what they drive. I guess everyone should just be conformists and dress the same as everyone else and drive the same type of car as everyone else?

They were college age students, in Cali, and the only one who really stuck out was in the back seat. He stuck out because he had two giant loops in his nose, a goatee thing that stuck out, and dark clothes. The other two were dressed pretty normal. Even the guy in the back seat wasn't dressed outlandishly, and only one had a GWB shirt... Even he was dressed pretty much like is normal for college students..

To tell you the truth, I didn't even notice the GWB shirt until it was brought up.

I would just assume he was a moron.

i think that's a given 😛

Try your hand at stereotyping and take a guess the political leanings of the owners of these cars:

Guess their political leaning

Did this person vote for Bush or Kerry? I'll give you two guesses.

These are easy ones. But as you try more, you'll get better at it. The fact is that profiling works. While you'll never be 100% sure, you can get pretty close. For instance, a guy will a mullet driving a 1987 Camaro will tend to be more conservative than a guy driving an Echo with rainbox stickers on it. It doesn't absolutely guarantee it, but it's a pretty good indication.

Nope, I try not to. I always give people the benefit of the doubt as much as possible. I've worked overnight in a hotel for 13 years, so I see all kinds. If I judged people right off the bat like that, I'd have been out of the business long ago.

More specifically, you did see that I live in New Hampshire right? I think we only have 6 black people in the state...maybe 7. 😉

Now, how about if I looked at the fact you were from Oklahoma, and I just decided you were were a stupid republican redneck hick who drove a Chevy truck and used the word "y'all" alot?

You conveniently left out the part where the cop asked her if there was anything in the car, and she blatantly lied to him and said "no".

WTF does "anything in the car" mean? It could mean ANYTHING, literally.

Q: "Is there anything in the car we should know about?"
A: "Well, there's a steering wheel, a brake pedal, some floormats, and an umbrella in the backseat."

"Anything" means anything. HTF was she supposed to know what he meant?

Why did she just let him toss her car? For being a well educated college student, that sure was a dumb move. He had no right.

There you go assuming again. 🙂

Being in college does not make one well-educated.

He asked her if he could search it and she said yes. I don't recall him asking her if there was anything in the car specifically, nor her saying no. Regardless, were they all cooperative or not?

Uhm, only a total moron would take that point of view. When a cop asks you if you have "anything" in the car he/she should know about, they're NOT talking about your Pokemon card collection, or your box of midget pr0n. They're taking about illegal substances, guns, etc.

Don't play stupid. There was no mistaking what he meant. I guess when a cop asks you if you've had anything to drink, you'll tell him yes, you had some water.
