PSA: Clipping your nails at work is NOT OKAY.

Grrr.... :|

I know people of all sorts do it, but I've noticed Asians tend to do so more than other races. (Not sure why I felt the need to point that out...)

Yes, it's happening right now. Yes, the fellow is Asian. Yes, he's done it before.

Not sure what's worse, nose pickers (as long as they do it where no one can see), or nail clippers... cubicle walls do NOT hide the sound thank you.

I see some fuckers clipping their nails in the train on the way to work. Don't they realize it's disgusting? Using a nail clipper next to someone you don't know.

Oh no, the sound of clipped nails

big deal, there's a guy who walks around my cubicle and farts all the time 🙁

I don't clip my nails at work but why is it so disgusting? It's just nails. I consider myself easily disgusted but I just can't find anything disgusting about nail clipping at all.

Meh. You're making a big deal out of nothing. He's not clipping them all over your area. The sound? Find something else to be anal about.

I'm sorry, body hygiene is something you do in the privacy of your home, or at the very least in the restroom. What's next? Manscaping in your cube?

If my old roommate is reading this, I'd like to submit that clipping your toenails on the table in front of the tv where we ate dinner is also not okay.

HA, I just got done clipping my nails right before entering this thread. Yes, I am at work, and yes in a cube!

I clip my nails almost daily, otherwise i chew them.

Not nearly as annoying as my cube mate who clears his throat once a minute throughout the day! The only time he stops is to gossip loudly on the phone!

Unless you are going to convince my employer to clean my keyboard more thoroughly than I can do with a paper towel and formula 409, then I'm going to clip my nails once in a while so that I don't have to mentally picture all the muck going under my nails as I type.

I absolutely wouldn't clip my toenails, but I see nothing wrong with clipping the nails on your fingers.

I agree but on the list of annoying co-worker behavior I'd say this ranks pretty low.

Things I find more annoying:
Bringing kids to work
Eating smelly food at desk
Conference calls or using speakerphone from desk
Having personal calls with TMI or TMI chat in general
Not using head phones
Having extended non-work related conversations while I am trying to work

I don't do it, but I do have a bad tendency to pick at my nails from time to time (especially if I get bored and they look kinda long 😱).

Nail fungus?

the clipping doesn't bother me per se but i know a lot of people in this office that go ballistic when they hear it.

there's a fruit cup here that clips his toenails and farts, wipes boogers all over the company cars, stinks, you name it.

a good rule of thumb is if it pisses people off, just do it at home. don't be a dick.

My office has a door. I can rub one out if ever have the urge. Can't imagine I ever would have the urge but just saying I could.
