PSA - Blue Bunny ice cream

they make the (now) best mass-market available pistachio ice cream.

It used to be homemade brand / united dairy farmers, but they stopped making it and therefore are dead to me.

Growing up I always thought it was pretty bland ice-cream. It is still better than other overrated brands such as blue bell.

Best store bought ice-cream I've had is Land-o-Lakes

I tried their red velvet ice cream ages ago, and it turned my teeth red until I brushed them :/

never went back to the brand again... I'm not a big ice cream guy in general, but if I'm buying it, it'll either be Häagen-Dazs or turkey hill.

My daughter loves the red velvet.

Oh, also in before the first "All grocery store ice cream sucks. I make the best ice cream" post.

Never heard of Blue Bunny. Apparently it's sold in every state, but I've certainly never seen it on the West Coast, or the East Coast for that matter, and I haven't spent enough time in the Midwest to go ice cream shopping. The company apparently also makes the Weight Watchers ice cream bars and my fiancee gets those pretty frequently; fairly tasty for what they are.

YOU SHUT YOUR DIRTY MOUTH RIGHT NOW!

One of the things I really missed coming from Texas to South Carolina was Blue Bell. Starting to see it a lot more around here though. Now if I could just get a Whataburger.

I tried Blue Bell's sugar-free strawberry ice cream. Bleh... I'll stick to sherbert if I want a lower-calorie frozen dessert. :\ Oddly enough, you know whose sherbert I have to avoid buying because I'll devour it quickly? Target! Their raspberry sherbert is flippin' awesome. What I like about it is that the consistency just seems better than others. Heck, I'm not even that much of a fan of raspberries, but they don't have a strawberry!

Once you go Graeter's you never go back. Their vanilla chocolate chip is quite possibly proof of the existence of God.

No thanks!

Richardson's

But that's a Massachusettes thing. I have to agree, blue bunny is pretty good for a non-premium ice cream.

I live in PA and the local Karn's has it.

Publix store brand is better than any other I've tried, they don't sub-contract it out, they have their own creamery that distributes to all the stores, the chocolate trinity is insanely good, I don't buy much ice cream anymore, at my age it sticks to me like velcro..

Everyone knows that the only Ice Cream worth eating comes from our own town's Mom & Pop dairy!

Sheesh.
