Cliff's Notes below, but here's the full story.
Awhile back, I had sold a laptop to a former co-worker. It was a used Toshiba Portege, worked perfectly. I was getting a new laptop, so I had no use for this one. He wanted it, so we made a transaction. Things were fine with it for awhile, he was happy with this new laptop. (new to him) So one day, he calls me up and says it won't turn on. I said ok, bring it down, I'll take a look at it. I don't know much about laptops but he was computer retarded, so I thought it might be something simple. He brings it over, I look at it, and notice that it's sticky. I asked him if he spilled something on it, like soda, and he said no, it just stopped working. So I said alright, I'd take a closer look, and get back to him. So he leaves it at my house, and I opened the hard drive and memory slot screws, take the plastic covers off, and notice that there is a sticky liquid in there. I thought WTF. So I called him back, and asked him again, if he spilled something on there. He finally said, "yeah, my girlfriend spilled MtDew on it". I told him there wasn't anything I can do, I dont know how to repair laptops in the first place, especially not ones soaked in MtDew. He took it back, said his uncle would fix it, I said ok. About a week later, he called me back and asked if I could fix his laptop. I told him again, no, I dont know how. He then just said, ok, well you can keep it, It doesn't work. I must have had it for a few months, one of the guys I work with now, said he may be able to fix it. I let him have it, he cleaned it out, got it to power up! The keyboard and fluorescent tube are both borke,d but at least it powered up, and booted into windows. So he's looking around the hard drive, notices he has quite a bit of porn... including, SHE-MALE PORN! I still can't stop laughing about this.
