Several months ago, there was one of those cheap tools sales at the convention center were I live. I noticed that they had a sliding compound miter saw on sale for $90. A good sliding compound miter saw is well over $400. Since I don't make any money with my wood working tools (toys), I decided that I could probably get by with a cheap miter saw.
The saw didn't come with a blade, so I bought a good 80 tooth 10" blade for it. I had a gift card for sears, so I bought an $80 blade for my $90 saw. This weekend I noticed that the saw has developed so much play that the blade has actually been chewing on the base of the saw. Ofcourse, this isn't a good thing for the blade.
I guess I'll just look at it as a $170 leason on not buying cheap tools. I'm planning on ordering a new saw from amazon today.
