Apparently it's the 2nd highest selling newspaper in the UK. It has also won National Newspaper of the Year several times at the British Press Awards.

I've read it and I think that it's horrible, but British journalism tends to skew towards the horrible side except for some non-newspaper sources like the BBC.

But my opinion is irrelevant. I'm just talking about the data. It's easily one of the most acclaimed media outlets in the UK.
