I hate DST. Darkness at 5pm is just depressing.

What's more depressing is working a job where you get up when it's dark and go to sleep when it's dark. 😕

Not if you're in Hawaii, American Samoa, Guam, Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands, most of the Eastern Time Zone portion of Indiana, or Arizona (excluding the Navajo Indian Reservation)

I am, but I still remember. 😛

Even when I was working days in DC at my last job I got up in the dark and got home in the dark.

Where do you live in(or around) DC? My grandparents live in Arlington(they're rich retired people like most of Arlington seems to be). I've been to DC visiting them more times than I can remember.

I'm in northern Virginia, probably 30 minutes or so outside of DC (depending on traffic 😉).

Yeah, it's great when you work 3rd shift...:|

It's 2am....OH WAIT...it's 1am...DO OVER. :|:|

Do you get paid for the extra hour, or do they manage to screw you over there too?

No, I do get paid, it just sucks having to work the extra hour. It is kinda of cool in the spring when I work one hour less though...so I guess it all works out in the end.

Insane3D -- that was my fear. I might stay up late enough to call the 3rd shift guys and make fun of them when it hits 1:59 am 😛

that 7 hour shift back in the spring was pretty sweet, though.
