It doesn't seem too bad. Power draw drop is rather significant - Playing Rocket League the power dropped from 130 W on the original to 100 W on the second one to 63 W on the Slim. Plus it's quieter.

That's a dumb omission. I'm glad my TV passes through full audio because I use optical. Hook up my console and other things to my TV through HDMI then optical from my TV to my sound bar.

Lots of higher end headsets require Dolby Digital to be passed through optical to an external box for positional audio like the Astro Mix Amp I use. I run everything to an AVR and the AVR has no optical output, just input. There is no way to get optical from the PS4 slim in my situation. There have been many times where I switch between my HT setup and my headset during a session. This is easy when I have optical out from the console because I just go into a menu and tell it to use optical and put the headset on. Without running directly to the TV there is no way to get an optical out from the PS4 Slim which is just bad.
