I think Horizon Zero Dawn alone makes it worth it but that was just leaked at E3. Are you not worry that X1 exclusive could eventually come to PC like some of them have including Sunset Overdrive which is in the work?
No, they won't. Some will, but I think that'll be limited to ones where mouse+keyboard won't have a major advantage over a controller for cross-platform play (like
Fable and
Killer Instinct). On top of that, if it WERE to happen,
Halo and
Forza are system-selling exclusives. Microsoft would kill its console sales if it brought them over, so the only way I could EVER see that happening is if they decided to get out of console gaming and turned the Xbox brand into basically a mini-PC with Windows 10 and an Xbox skin. They'd literally leave the console market if they were to put
Halo on PC (or they'd lag it behind by 2-3 years), and if they did that, it would be probably with
Halo 6, which (given the typical 3-year
Halo gap), wouldn't be until 2018. The console will be 5 years old by then, so worrying about exclusives in 5 years and skipping a bunch now over that would be asinine.
Besides,
No Man's Sky,
Shenmue 3,
Street Fighter V,
Final Fantasy XIV, and a buuuuuunch of the Sony indie exclusives are on PC. Plus, a decent chunk of the games on PS4 and not on the One are on PS3. It could be argued that a PS4 isn't an upgrade over a PS3, if you want to have a PC as well. Not everyone wants a gaming PC, so I don't get why you keep bringing this point up.
I mean, look at
Arkham Knight. How many PC gamers are pissed they can't play that right now because it's only functioning on consoles, to the point that Steam won't even let people buy it until it's fixed. With the popularity of consoles today, ports have been rather shoddy in recent history. The first
Dark Souls,
Fallout 3, they were almost unplayable in their release form. Porting has made a lot of recent, major titles perform poorly on PC in general, not just to an unplayable degree.
