I thought an official drop to $350 was coming in North America back in Spring of this year. Shortly before the Batman bundles were released it seemed like just about every retailer was offering some type of $350 base deal, or throwing in extras like controllers, PS+ subs, new games, which is usually the sign of an impending price drop when they're all running deals concurrently.
It never came, but $350 has been an obtainable price point through Ebay Daily Deals and other online retail sales pretty frequently since then, if that was what people were waiting for they should have had multiple opportunities.
I think an official drop to $350 wouldn't really mean much unless sale prices on base models also came down to $300 occasionally.
