PS4 players, feel free to add me for loot gifts - suuper56k (that's not a typo)
I'll add others I've seen here, but I haven't been on PSN for a few days now from the outage.

I'm actually having a little more fun than I did when RoS came out on PC. It feels right with a controller, particularly dodging. My brother and I had a blast playing this weekend, even with the PSN outages. The only time I missed online play was when I ran out of key fragments and couldn't jump into a split bounty game to get them faster.

The apprentice buff is genius. My brother started a new character in Act IV with my 40-something Witch Doctor. He gained over 40 levels by end of Act V. The next day, it only took a few hours of rifts and bounties to get to 70.

Also really digging the controller layout and inventory management. There's a learning curve, but, after some time with it, I realized the inventory is organized better than I could ever get it on PC - with no effort involved. The combo of marking items as junk while playing with the square button, and then R3 to salvage all in town is really nice too. Gambling needs some tweaks though. Man is that slow compared to PC. All they need to do is give an option to gamble X quantity of item, or just significantly speed up the progress bar.

I may jump the gun on my b-day and get this today. My PSN handle is the same as here (gorcorps) so add me if you want.

Does the game slow down for some of you guys on PS4? Sometimes the game goes from smooth to really choppy for a while and then speeds up again once I clear the mobs. Really annoying... Last thing I expect is lagging on a console D:

Also, wizard controls seem off... something about the right stick doing dodge when my instincts telling me it should control beam direction (which is done with the left stick when firing...). Also, aiming is a chore as it usually autoaims but sometimes it doesn't work and the left stick turns the beam really fast (and it doesn't autolock then...). Mouse + keyboard definitely a LOT better for the wizard. Crusader controls are really nice though, can't have everything I guess...

I knew something was off! The game is zoomed in on the console! Walking SW, S or SE can get really ugly a lot of the times, especially on a squishy character. You can't see the mobs until they're literally on top of you... and then it's frost nova / slow time, face other direction and teleport to start attacking... :/ The only way to explore without being jumped by mobs from the corner of the screen is to walk NW, N or NE...

I guess this shows another limitation of the consoles... less area to show, less mobs can be seen on screen... the slowdowns would be way bigger otherwise.

The more I play this game, the more I think it is money wasted. The only things so far I really like is controls on a melee class, the gifts and nemesis. Also offline play (wouldn't be able to play with PSN outages like on the weekend otherwise...)

I haven't noticed it zoomed in on the console. But then again I haven't really compared it to the PC version in the extreme. I have the game on PC as well so I might take a look at this tonight after work.

MY PSN: Northwoods199

If I haven't played any Diablo ever would anyone recommend this game to me?

D3 is my first Diablo game and it's LOADS of fun and strangely addictive playing online co-op with friends. The skill trees make it stand out from the average hack and slash and I haven't felt like the game was repetitive at all (my biggest concern before purchasing it). Among games I've played, it's most comparable to the PS2-era Baldur's Gate and Champions of Norrath games.

Be forewarned that the game is REALLY easy on the default difficulty setting. Crank up the difficulty one or two levels to make it much more challenging and fun.

it is worth it.

Man, playing through Rifts, I get soooo many legendary drops for other people. I swear I sent Eraz, a PSN buddy from here, 3-4 legionaries that dropped from some runs I made last night.

Not all gifts are legendaries 😉 Some of the ones I opened were just yellow loot.

I added a few people to my friends list, and started the game last night. I was up late so I didn't put any time into it... just enough to get to a savepoint in town.

I have to say I'm getting sucked into this game, and I haven't gotten sucked into anything like this in a while. I tried the PC trial and got bored before I even reached my level limit of the trial, but it feels right playing it on my TV. The controls work well and the Crusader has been really fun so far. I got through Act 1 and am a couple hours into Act 2. My schedule was all screwed up today because I forgot to eat playing it =P

Why would you say its more intriguing to play on the console? I'm downloading the starter edition on my pc right now to try it out. I have Destiny coming out next week and I still have a few ps4 games to play.

I don't really know why. Maybe it's just the class. I played witch doctor on the PC but am playing crusader now. Maybe it's just that I don't like being hunched over a keyboard and mouse clicking away staring at a screen a foot away from my nose. Something about playing it on the couch with a controller is making it a lot more entertaining than hunched over at my desk clicking away.

Yea I get that. I felt the same with watchdogs. I enjoy it more on the couch with a controller. I'm going to try it out on pc and if I like it I may pick it up on ps4. It's also better to play online on a console I feel since I've never been a big mp person on pc. Most of my friends don't even have anything remotely close to a gaming pc.

Yeah. None of my friends have a ps4 though, so I'm just having fun with sp. I could open it up to the public and see what happens but I haven't tried yet. Just adding folks here to my friends list is getting me equipment though, and that's all the MP influence I need right now.

I got to level 7 or 8 on the pc version. I could see why it's more convenient on the ps4. Clicking around with the mouse can get bothersome at times. Pretty much seems kind of fun, I have not unlocked many powers still playing as the wizard. Seems like grinding a lot and it doesn't seem too tough either.

Not sure yet but I may want to get it for ps4. Are the graphics any different? Sitting in front of the pc they look kind of blurry on the highest settings.

I don't think it looks much different, but it certainly looks good on the ps4. The sound is really well done too, and makes the powers feel like they have a good impact.

I've actually not had to grind yet and I'm level 27. I've just gone through the missions and I've never felt the need to replay areas to get stronger. I usually explore every nook and cranny of each area, but that's just how Diablo games are designed. So far it's been well paced.

I think I'll trade thief in to best buy for $20 and get Diablo 3. I didn't play much of thief anyway and have not since I bought it. I ended up finishing the starter missions in the pc version.

Been wanting to get the UEE for xbox 360, but it's been sold out close to me. Have my fingers crossed that either best buy will get more in soon or it gets listed for download.

It dawned on me yesterday why I enjoy the game so much. It's casual enough that I never feel like I'm making a wrong choice, and I can just toggle between skills to see which ones feel better for my current level and equipment. In previous Diablos you pretty much had "builds", so you couldn't really experiment... just follow the plan. I was just grinding until I got to the next point to fit my build. It started to feel more like work and less like a game.

There was a lot of outcry in the beginning due to how casual they made the new one, and I admit I was part of it as well. Now that I've given it a good shot though, I'm happy with all of the things done to make it more casual. It fits with the way I like to game now, and something like Diablo 2 is just too much for me these days. I've been using the hammer skill a lot, but I can switch to shield bash with a new rune whenever I want to see how it performs. If I don't like it I can switch right back.

At first I was worried I would have to grind a lot. But it looks like you can change skills any time. I just don't want it to get too repetitive. I'll eventually buy the game though. Picking up Destiny Tuesday so if I'm able to I'll try and get it on the weekend.

I've read that the UEE changes the "difficulty" to match the PC version. Anyone know what the closest match on the new system would be to Inferno Master I?
