I think they have full ps3 emulator now on windows/linux. I guess I would rather get that then buy a new ps3 and hack it.

RPCS3 can play a few games really well, such as Odin Sphere Leifthrasir, Okami, Dragon's Crown, Catherine, and supposedly Demon's Souls, though I can't get Demon's Souls working worth a crap on my system (Xeon E3-1231v3 + GTX 970 + 16 GB DDR3-2400). I haven't messed with it too much though since I have a real PS3 and have bought almost every game I want to play on the system. I honestly don't see the point of going the CFW route when PS3 games are so cheap other than to play the Scott Pilgrim vs the World game that the PS Store pulled (it works great in RPCS3) or to play the English patched NieR Replicant (which is unplayable on RPCS3 but should work great on CFW). Maybe I'd do CFW if my blu-ray drive dies but until then it seems like way too much of a hassle, especially since the game updates still have to be downloaded off playstation servers and that seems like a great way to get my PSN account banned, which would suck considering how many games I have bought off PSN.
